Time Off
We did this once three years back and i would say, the view on to of Gunung Irau is as beautiful as before. Though this time we we not able to view Ipoh town from the top due to the raining seasion and the mist was too thick. But one thing that has changed is that there is a Board Walk constructed for tourism purpose. This has, i feel, spoil the natural scene of the trek and forest. Information from our guide, it cost 600K to built the board walk. But the most sad part is that the goverment has mowed down a few old trees to make way for this board walk which enable tourist to experience the Mossy FOrest environment without getting dirty.
As usual, we Malaysian has the first class facilities but worse than 3rd world nation maintenance. We can see rubbish along the board walk which again spoilt the natural habitats. I would advise frens that wanna go in to nature to have this in mind, Take Nothing But Photograph, Leave Nothing But Foot Steps.
We did our part, since most of us are smokers, we didnt throw butts around, we keep it with a container and throw it in the bin when we reached to our guest house. We brought down our rubbish. But along the way, we still can see mineral bottles, candy's wrappers, and even a broken glasses. Those who did this really do not care and appreciate the mother nature.
The journey up was tiring but it is worth every little step that we took to get up there. Standing in the middle of rain forest clouds, feeling the rain drops and wind blowing all around us is hard to describe in any words, one have to really experience it to tell the story. Hehehe, but it is really no words to describe. It just fantastic, marvellous!
We break our record, we did it the first time, when all of us was first timer. 6 hours, this time 4 hours. And we manage to lit up the camp fire in the middle of the rain, thanks to the Gunung Irau information board.
At this moment while blogging, i am staying in Twin Pines Guest House. Cheap but comfortable. With only Rm10 per nite, nothing to complain about and ofcos nothing to compare about with hotels.
So guys, it is good to take some time off once in a while to really refresh yourself in everyday works. It helps to think less and release yourself from any problem in the city. Its not that we are running away from problems, but once you have a clear mind, everything can be solve easier.
Gtg now, it costs RM3 for an hour of internet service here. :)
Ciao Ciao!

Bus No. 52
Last sunday, the only free time i have since i was here last monday to go out and get something for myself and my darling.
The place i stay this time is not convinient to go around. It is not near BTS station, there is no entertainment here, and there is not even place to have beer... here is Chang Wattana... okok, maybe i exagerate little bit. there is some place for beer and entertainment but only Japanese will go because its too expensive...
So, saturday nite after work, get my camera batteries charged up and planned to got up early and go to few places to snap photos. wanted to go to the Grand Palace again... 0200, slept.
Come sunday morning... i thought its sunday morning but when i looked at my watch, its... its... DaMN, 2pm... means its 1pm Thailand time. Get ready... changed, was thinking to wear shoe or sandals... chose sandals, easy... ;)
So, walked out the apartment, about the apartment, its like haunted, u cant see anyone day or nite, the swimming pool never need cleaning cause there is no one using it according to my colleague who stay there for months.
saw the Motorcycle Taxi, wanted to ask them if they willing to go to Mochit BTS Station or not. But language is a big issue here, they Mai Kau Chai what i say, so i also Kau Chai Kau Chai and walked away la.
Take a Taxi, 110 THB to the Mochit BTS Station, with my camera on ready mode, start my journey to the planned Grand Palace. But second thought, its already 2pm, for me to get to Grand Palace, with no idea how to go there cos last time my friend brought me there, and didnt really remember the bus number. So, ended up going to Siam Paragon.
Reached there, walked about, snapped some photos. Promised my darling to get her a Hard Rock Bangkok shirt. So, i been there before but still take me about 30 minutes to locate this place. Got there, bought 2 shirts, one for me and one for her. Then there is a market place in the building nearby, which i didnt noticed last time i come here with my girlfriend, there is so many things to from bras to socks, from original to copy version. Next time dear, next time i bring you here. ;)
So, time for my lunch, saw a chinese restaurant nearby. Was packed and no place to sit, saw an empty place but there is a Na Ruck lady having her meal. Hmm, what to do, approach her and ask her if i can share table with her or not. Since thai people is very very friendly, she said ok.
Close look, yeah, pretty, but i think she just had an operation... no no no, not the bust, but the eyes, cos one of her eye is still protected by soft cotton. Maybe she is looking at me with the other eye, the eye is... shining. ;) Dont worry dear, i didnt do anything, i just sit there to have my Mee Hoon Soup. Never ask phone number never ask name. Just Mee Hoon Soup.
My meal is served, er... the portion is so small that only enough for one mouthful. Ordered another one, the Na Ruck lady smile... i told her the food here is very small portion, maybe she Mai Kau Chai, she just smile.
So, walk walk walk nearby Siam, MBK, Paragon, Discovery... see girls, see boys and see aqua... saw a group of photographer in action. Joined them but not for long. After that, my colleauge called and its time for dinner.
I am on the way back to Mochit Station. Tried to get a taxi but it was so crowded and taxi is not stopping. Get back to the Stationi and ask the Customer Service if there is any bus going to Chaeng Wattana, she said "Sorry, I dont know" then i show her the address, she also Mai Kau Chai, but she was helpful, she called her colleauge to check for me the bus number to Chaeng Wattana. It was Bus No. 52.
So, was on the way back to Chaeng Wattana. Dinner with colleauges and back to my Haunted Apartment.! The apartment is name Kensington, try a google search, its not in Thailand, its some where is europe. Google earth will display this place as jungle.
This Business Trip is not so enjoyable, cos all my friends are busy here. More to tell later, a Na Ruck Lady gave me her number and asked me to call. ;)
