Time Off

Having some time off from everything in the busy city life. Enjoying every moment of doing nothing at all is fun and relaxing. This trip back to Malaysia is great as i am able to join my friends for a hiking trip to Gunung Irau.

We did this once three years back and i would say, the view on to of Gunung Irau is as beautiful as before. Though this time we we not able to view Ipoh town from the top due to the raining seasion and the mist was too thick. But one thing that has changed is that there is a Board Walk constructed for tourism purpose. This has, i feel, spoil the natural scene of the trek and forest. Information from our guide, it cost 600K to built the board walk. But the most sad part is that the goverment has mowed down a few old trees to make way for this board walk which enable tourist to experience the Mossy FOrest environment without getting dirty.

As usual, we Malaysian has the first class facilities but worse than 3rd world nation maintenance. We can see rubbish along the board walk which again spoilt the natural habitats. I would advise frens that wanna go in to nature to have this in mind, Take Nothing But Photograph, Leave Nothing But Foot Steps.

We did our part, since most of us are smokers, we didnt throw butts around, we keep it with a container and throw it in the bin when we reached to our guest house. We brought down our rubbish. But along the way, we still can see mineral bottles, candy's wrappers, and even a broken glasses. Those who did this really do not care and appreciate the mother nature.

The journey up was tiring but it is worth every little step that we took to get up there. Standing in the middle of rain forest clouds, feeling the rain drops and wind blowing all around us is hard to describe in any words, one have to really experience it to tell the story. Hehehe, but it is really no words to describe. It just fantastic, marvellous!

We break our record, we did it the first time, when all of us was first timer. 6 hours, this time 4 hours. And we manage to lit up the camp fire in the middle of the rain, thanks to the Gunung Irau information board.

At this moment while blogging,  i am staying in Twin Pines Guest House. Cheap but comfortable. With only Rm10 per nite, nothing to complain about and ofcos nothing to compare about with hotels.

So guys, it is good to take some time off once in a while to really refresh yourself in everyday works. It helps to think less and release yourself from any problem in the city. Its not that we are running away from problems, but once you have a clear mind, everything can be solve easier.

Gtg now, it costs RM3 for an hour of internet service here. :)

Ciao Ciao!

What i have been thinking...

Recently, maybe due to too much time spent thinking about my life... so what have i been thinking?

Been thinking about;

1. My job, with the current economy crisis, will i be fired from my current job? Worry.

2. My family, most of the time i am abroad, will this affect my closeness with them? I think probably not but why do i keep asking this question myself.

3. My friends, what the hell are they doing back in Malaysia. Is it like what they told me? They will plan for some activity just because i am not around?

4. My love, i have been thinking alot of things about my last 7 years relationship. Is it still possible? is it too late? is getting back is what i really want? is moving on, a process that take more time than i thought i needed? Am i really moving on now? too many things to think about this so i stop thinking about it now.

5. My dad's question, he asked me, What is life all about? What is our purpose here? Dating, Marriage, have kids? Being happy? How to justify HAPPY? Dating? Marriage? Have Kids? Financially stable? Now he has it all, but why is he not happy? How am i going to answer him so that he can be happier? Or is he happy just to think about this?

6. Travel, few places i want to go. To go alone? To go with friends? If to go with friends, who will go with me? My schedule is not well planned. Where to go first? Vietnam? Siem Reap? Bali? How much? Due to my kiam siapness, am i willing to pay for it? If i dont pay, who will pay for me?

7. Gadgets, to buy or not to buy? To buy a camera or to buy an Itouch? Or to change a new phone? Do i need these? Again, why am i so kiam siap? Why cant i just buy something to reward myself sometimes? Why?

8. My grandma, its almost one year now. I am still thinking what was i thinking when she asked me to dropped by to have dinner together and i didnt turn up. What was i thinking?

So, so many things to think about. Sometimes i just think that i think too much.

Home

Home is getting closer and closer to me. Two more days, i will be flying back to my home land. Been away too long this time... just to cover the time spent during summer holidays. Knowing that i am coming back soon just makes me sleepless at nite, too excited i guess.

Arranging for friends or family to pick me up from the airport on Sat at 1415. So far, YC is the most promising buddy to fetch me after offering 4 packs of Dunhill Fine Cut. :P

Another friend needed a large shoulder to lean on, I offered my shoulder in return to a favor fetching me back from airport but was told it is too dangerous to lean on my shoulder while driving. :) But i hope she is alright now and pick herself up. You sure can do it!

Though my trip will be short back home, but its really fine with me cos as long as i can spend time with my family and friends. Every minutes spent is a quality time that i have missed out so much when i am away. Being away makes me realised how important each and everyone of my family and friends to me.

Not that i was not away before, but this time in European Country, i just feel the distance. Yeah, geographically speaking it is far. 12 blarrdy hours of flight but i will be on connecting flight at Dubai, so another 2 hours of hanging around doing nothing there. Here, is just not the same when travelling in Asean Country where, in my personal opinion ppls are more friendly and less sarcastic. And most importantly, speaks english!

Reading everyone MSN messages and knowing that all of them have activity backhome makes me miss my home land so much!!! I can't do anything here and especially is early falls, can't go to the beach to see nudist. :) To keep myself occupied in the next trip, i will bring along my camera. Ordered the Raynox and expected to arrived on Tuesday. Its a super Macro lens and want to practice on macro shot.

First thing i wanna do when i am back home... :) Call my parents, call my buddies, Get my car, set up appointments, drinking sessions, mamak sessions... yeah i miss Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng. Did i mentioned call my honey? Hmmm... first thing i wanna do is call my honey! (Back up if she is following my post :P )

Can't wait!!! So guys, hope to see everyone of you when i am back! Till then... still counting down!

Yes, but...

Yes, but... bla bla bla... dont you think that when ppl use this sentence too frequent shows that he/she is quite a Kiasu person? Well, i think so cos i am with this kind of person everyday.

Most of the time, when we talk about something... anything at all. Yes, but... bla bla bla... Hmm, not that i am complaining so much, but... hehehe, yes, i am complaining abit much about this guy lately, but... hahaha, sometimes i just keep quiet and let his "Yes, but..." ends the conversation...

Example of conversation? Well, i was sipping my coffee in the kitchen... and here goes...

Sg. Uncle: You know, after you get used to drink coffee down here, when you go home, you drink coffee down there is like drink water, no taste one.

Me: Noler, i still find that the "cham si ping" back in my place taste the same everytime i order at the coffee shop.

Sg. Uncle: No lah, different one. Coffee down here is stronger and more aroma. Not like down there, different one.

Me: How different?

Sg. Uncle: You know, down here coffee is better. If you are down there you want to drink good coffee can... if you go to starbucks or coffee bean la. Different one. I can taste that down there if i drink at coffee shop, taste like water one.

Me: Well, maybe different person have different taste. Some how i think its the same.

Sg. Uncle: Yes, but now you say only. You stay here longer then you will find its different one.

Me: I dont know, for me its not the same case.

Sg. Uncle: Yes, but later la, later you will find the different one la, like me when i go back, i brew my own coffee. Put more coffee powder then taste better a bit.

At this point of the conversation. I already "bo lak liao" if he say so... then, so it is.

Then...

Sg. Uncle: No meh, not different meh?

Now, just to keep the conversation short, i mean put a full stop...

Me: Yeah, maybe for you.

Full Stop!

I wonder, how can he know... or assumed that i am like him? Different ppl different taste bud ma. And everytime... not only coffee, anything... just about anything. He will just have to stress out that he is right. He got the point. Oklo, i let him win lo, i dont like to talk so much ma. But... Yeah, but... sometimes if i dont talk to him when he says so much, it just weird la. Its like i am trying to avoid him...

So, since we are colleague, give face abit la... just entertain him abit till he says the last "Yes, but..." lo, what to do....

Sigh!

Gross!!!

Was driving the car that my colleague drives everyday. Yeah, if you are following my blogs, that uncle from Singapore. Well, it is a BMW 320D. But trust me, you don't feel like driving a BMW cos this car, more than 400,000km distance traveled. Last service i saw in the service record book was at 200,000km.

Suspension, out! Engine Management Indicator, was turned ON forever. Brakes Indicator was ON like since i got here. Tyres, last changed was at about 280,000KM. Exterior, its still a BMW but the color has changed from Silver to Dark Grey.  Car wash? Nope, never been done. Right hand side mirror, gone missing. Front wind screen, one feet crack line. But despite all mentioned above, this car still runs quite well. Powerful.

So, this is the first time i drive this car. If i got a choice i wont drive it. Tell you guys later. Er... how to start the blardy engine? Hahaha... now i know. Must step on the clutch and press the Start/Stop Enginer button after you slot in the electronic key. Engine Started... was heading to the mall to buy Wine.

When i was driving... suddenly something pop up in my mind. Yucks!!! Gross!!! Yeah, told you guys, this car was designated to this Singapore Uncle. I travel with him most of the time and while he was driving... he got a bad habit! He likes mining while driving! Yeah, you know... korek hidung? Picking Nose?

And after korek, with his little finger equiped with long nail. And... i dont know how to explain the gesture but er... you know, after picking with that little finger, he will scratch his little finger on his palm... u know what i mean dont you? then... hold the steering wheel again. For the whole journey, you will see him repeatedly picking his nose!!!

Argh!!! No wonder the steering wheel feels so sticky!!! Yucks!!! Geli... So, the first thing i did after i got back, wash my hand!!! What else!? I will remember to bring some tissue or wipes next time if i were to drive that car again!!!

Well, its not that gross if you dont know that he picks his nose all the time. Maybe i will think that because his hand sweats that cause the steering wheels to be sticky! But the thing is i knew and i saw it. So, i just feel that is gross to drive this car again!

I miss mamak...

Was thinking about what to cook for dinner.

Had late lunch at 3pm today, steak and hamburg. Yeah, i can cook! And it taste good too. Well, at least thats what i think. So, still abit full now. Decided to skip dinner.

Ate some grapes, for the first time peeling its skins... burned about 30mins doing it, not a bad activity.

Was chatting with a friend, suddenly feel hungry again. Maybe thats y i am gaining weight.

She reminds me of a place that i alwiz go when i am back to Malaysia. Yeap... MAMAK!!!

A place for hang out with friends till the wee hours... You can't find it here. Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng... here? Don't even have KFC.  Cheese Naan Garlic... yeah, cheese and bread are available here, but not as good as MAMAK!!!

EPL games live telecast... er... was channel browsing, no live telecast, saw a talk show about football, talk too much! and obviously i dont understand what the hell they are talking about.

Yeah, i miss Mamak store back in Malaysia. And i am hungry now,  but i don;t want to eat. Can i dont eat? I must not eat... maybe just abit... no... no no no... shim, control youself!!!

Okok, better shower now, have some wine to warm myself... and sleep!
